About Me
I have to be honest. I am NOT a fashionista. I don't blog about fashion, and I don't hope to one day start my own line.
Ever since I can remember, I've always loved "dress up", but not for the reasons you think. While I do love to make things look pretty, I also love to make them look strange, and interesting, and horrifying, and mysterious, and fantasmic, and sad, and moving, and sexy, and grimey, and innocent, and dreamy....I think you get the idea.
Sure I can appreciate the quality craftmanship and innovation and creativity found in the future making world of fashion. But for me, it's about something else. It's about the character. I love creating a character visually. I love getting in the character's head and thinking about the decisions that character would make down to every little detail. I love thinking about the whole big giant picture and how a color palette can create a mood and inspire people to feel and relate. I love being a part of the process and a part of the art.
My first film as costume designer was The Victim starring Michael Biehn in 2010. Since then, I have designed over 20 films. I am based in Los Angeles but live for the traveling.
